Who We Are
Calvary Chapel Paphos is a non-denominational evangelical Christian Church worshipping our Savior Jesus Christ, in the heart of Paphos, Cyprus.
Calvary Chapel Paphos is led by pastors Timothy Mattox and Loren Combs.
Where We Started
Pastor Tim, with his wife Darlene and daughters, Abby and Emma, arrived in Paphos in 2005 and held their first bible study at their home toward the end of that year. Today, Calvary Chapel Paphos is a vibrant, growing international community, fellowshipping in faith, love, grace and truth as taught by Jesus.
Our Mission
Our aim is to fulfill the biblical commission of Colossians 1:28-29, that says. “Him (Jesus) we preach, admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. 29 To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.”
These verses challenge us to
1. Proclaim Jesus Christ as Son of God, Savior and Redeemer of man
2. Love, teach and admonish men in biblical truths and Christian living
3. To disciple believers; baptize, nurture, train and equip each one for ministry
4. To do all of the above with passion, and in the power that only the Holy Spirit can provide.
Calvary Chapel Worldwide Ministry
In 1965, Pastor Chuck Smith began his ministry at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa with just twenty five people. From the beginning, Pastor Chuck welcomed all, young and old, without judgment, placing his emphasis on the teaching of the Word of God. His simple, yet sound, biblical approach draws 25,000 people weekly.
With a sincere concern for the lost, Pastor Chuck made room in his heart and his home for a generation of hippies and surfers; generating a movement of the Holy Spirit that spread from the West Coast to the East Coast, and now, throughout the world.
What began as a small local church has now grown into an international ministry of over 1500 fellowships throughout the world.

PASTOR
Pastor Loren joined Calvary Chapel Paphos in 2020 to assist Pastor Tim with leading the church.
Karna & Santa Pandey
NEPAL MINISTRY PASTOR
Pastor Karna Pandey and his wife Santa serve as missionaries in Dadhikot, Bhaktapur to help bring the Gospel to those who don’t know our Lord.
