Let me begin by thanking our glorious God for an amazing year!
We are so blessed by everyone at Calvary Chapel Paphos and are proud to shepherd this amazing congregation!
In spite of all the challenges thrown at us in 2021, we have overcome in Christ Jesus and grown and flourished in every way. We rejoice in the faithfulness of God through you; for your love, service, prayers and support.
As we look at the prospect of a new year ahead, I’d like to leave you with a challenge…
What is going to define your new year?
What could the year look like if we made the pursuit of God our greatest ambition?
“God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
Hebrews 11:6
In the verse above, God encourages us to seek the rewards that come from knowing Him and growing in our relationship with Him.
Take time today, at the start of this New Year, to set yourself apart for Christ.
Commit to seeking His face anew through the reading, study and meditation of His Word. Dedicate yourself to prayer. Prioritize time with believers and the church. Give yourself to sharing the Gospel of Christ and to serving those around you in a new and challenging way.
No earthly gains or accomplishments can bring the lasting satisfaction and unshakable blessings that come from doing life the way our Creator intended for us.
May God richly bless your desire this year to go deeper, farther in your walk with Jesus. May He grant you more faith to walk in His Spirit.
