Corona Virus Updates - 19th March 2020

In light of social restrictions put in place by the Cyprus government regarding the Corona virus crisis, Calvary Chapel Paphos will be moving our main Sunday service ONLINE for the next month.  Our Sunday service will be Live Streamed on Facebook or can be watched on our YouTube channel later in the day Sunday. Links can be found on our homepage.
Lord-willing we will resume regular meetings by April 17th, to celebrate Good Friday and Resurrection Day together.

We can’t emphasize enough that ministry is NOT STOPPING, ONLY ADAPTING to the current situation.
The decision has been reached through much prayer and discussion by leadership. It is not based on fear, but an earnest desire to honour the Lord through both the care of His people and our city, and by respecting our governing authorities.

In fact, we have the promise that God is ‘ working all things together for the good’ (Rom 8:28) and I believe that God is slowing us down and simplifying our lives at this particular time so that we can focus on what’s truly important; that is loving Him and loving one another.

While the government has called for the suspension of all public gatherings, it has not forbidden interaction between individuals. Perhaps we need to see that, as the body of Christ, these restrictions are not limiting us, but liberating us to spend much needed one on one time with God, our families, friends and neighbours.
We have an incredible window of opportunity to speak forth the truth of the Gospel into people’s lives.

It is vital that we remember those among us who are the most vulnerable and who have the most need for spiritual, practical and physical support through all this. Together we will do our best to bear the burdens of those who are the worst hit by the crisis. With that in mind, please remember how important your financial gifts and offerings will be during this period.
Needs have increased, not decreased. You can give online on our website through electronic transfer or PayPal.
If your unable to give online, please contact us.

Lastly, join us online this Sunday for my message, “The New Normal”, where we will examine ways we can carry on ministry in the face of the Corona Virus crisis.

If anyone has questions or needs prayer, please don’t hesitate to call.

“Draw near to me, hear this:
from the beginning I have not spoken in secret,
from the time it came to be I have been there.”
And now the Lord God has sent me, and his Spirit.

Deuteronomy 6:4

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.”

Genesis 1:1

have I not told you from of old and declared it?
And you are my witnesses!

There is no Rock; I know not any.”
